On 17 June 2007 Rural Area Development Nepal (RAD Nepal), one of the popular NGO acting for peace, justice and human rights in Nepal and mainly for the rights of people in rural area, organized one interaction programme on " Present political perplexity and the issue of Nationality in Nepal" inviting renowned political leaders, human rights activists and intellectuals in Reporters club Nepal, Kathmandu. The programme was supported by NCCN as part of its programme on ' Advocacy campaign and policy formulation'.
The major topics and issues discussed were the election of Constitution Assembly, its hindrance, role of political parties to clear the hindrance for holding the election of constitution assembly, issue of nationality and boarder encroachment in the southern belt of Nepal.

Addressing the interaction programme renowned human rights activist and intellectual Dr. K.B. Rokaya said that the political leaders should not play dual role regarding the future of the nation. He added that the main task of the present interim legislative parliament and the interim government is to fully concentrated in the election of constitution assembly and develop free and fair environment for the election of constitution assembly and ensure the participation of people of all class, cast, ethnical groups, gender and sector.
He said with emphasis that to ensure the election of constitution assembly, political parties should work on finding out the reason behind the failure of holding election of constitution assembly within the date set by interim constitution and it should be addressed with full priority.

Speaking at the programme deputy commander of Peoples Liberation Army Nepal and Maoist Leader Mr. Barsaman Pun (Comrade Ananta) said that the present situation of the country is not totally in state of perplexity but the fact is that it is in the transitional stage of revolutionary change. He cautioned the people to be aware to the every political development in the nation and create pressure to the political parties to drive the nation towards federal republican setup.
Mr. Shankar Pokherl, the central committe member of CPN (UML), Mr. Narayan Khadka, the central committee member of NC( Democratic), Mr. Kripasur Sherpa, president of Nepal Sherpa Association, Dr. Lalan Chaudhary, the vice president of RAD Nepal and Mr. Gorakh Bahadur BC the president of RAD Nepal also spoke about the present situation of the country and election of constitution assembly.
